The Bereavement Services Industries Association is a newly-formed organisation, founded in 2007.  Our objectives are:

# To promote and be a source of sound advice and information about the use of goods and services used by bereavement services.
# To foster and encourage the development of effective, safe and
environmentally sound bereavement services industries in the UK and Ireland.
# To establish and maintain safety and quality standards for bereavement services industries in the UK and Ireland.
# To represent the interests of the bereavement services industries to Government, Government bodies, consumers and other organisations.
# To act as a trade association on behalf of members.

What people are saying about BSIA:
"This is something that has been needed for a long time"
"A professional organisation that serves the interests of its members is always welcome"
"We think it a great idea to  have a representative body for the supply side of the industry, and look forward to hearing more"

"I do think that it could assist in many ways and we would certainly support it"

"Will we have a President rather than a Chairman?"

"Will be very useful for a one-voice communication with our buyers and their associations"

"This type of organisation is long overdue"

"Well done - it's something suppliers have talked about for some time but not got together to do anything. It must be good news for all"

"2007 may be a historic year and the opportunity for the industry to fully benefit from one another"

"Industry suppliers contribute much to the industry by way of support through attendance at conferences and events, advertising in the journal and sponsorship. If the value of this support was totalled up, the value of that contribution would be appreciable. Establishment of BSIA will hopefully mean that that contribution is not taken for granted in the future. We are in full support of this initiative."

"We are very keen to support the Association."

"This new organisation would appear to bridge the current gap in full bereavement service provision. It should unite splinter groups and encourage greater focus for the good of customer service excellence, with total empathy to those customers."
