HEALTH AND SAFETY MATTERS – FREE TRAINING!
Following the success of the Manual Handling training course at the Crematorium earlier this year, we are pleased to announce another free training session for funeral directing staff.
The importance of safe and effective infection control measures cannot be overlooked, especially with the threat of an avian flu pandemic and the rising cases of ‘superbugs’ such as MSRA and Clostridium Difficile. The requirement to assess the risks involved with microbiological agents is also a legal duty under COSHH regulations. To help ensure that you are aware of the infection control risks involved in funeral directing operations, Andrew Platts, Managing Director of Anubis Healthcare, the UK’s leading providers of infection control products and services to the funeral and bereavement industries, will deliver a training course at the Bournemouth Crematorium on Saturday 24th November 2007. The course is open to anybody involved in funerals or who may be exposed to risks from microbiological agents, and is free of charge to attend! The course will commence at 9.30 and will end around 12.00, refreshments will be provided.
To secure places on the Infection Control training course please email Julie Dunk with the names of proposed delegates to
crematorium@bournemouth.gov.uk. Places will be confirmed on a strictly first-come, first-served basis.
