Funeral directors and embalmers have some very specific needs and requirements and we continually search for new ideas for old problems.
These are the newest products.

FACE VEILS: When collecting and handling the deceased a potential source of infection is the expelling of air. We have recently completed the sourcing and manufacture of a bacteriostatic face veil using silver ion technology. Basically this is an 18 inch square of cream coloured cloth made from Xstatic material which kills bacteria and viruses and does not allow contaminated air to pass from the deceased to the person caring for them, particularly when collecting. The veil is simply placed on the face. An additional benefit is that the veil can be washed in an ordinary domestic washing machine up to 280 times before losing it's germ killing capability. At £4.95 each these useful face veils help top solve the problem in a tactful way without compromising the funeral director of offending the bereaved.

RE-ODOURISING COFFIN LINERS - Again another innovative answer to an age-old problem. These paper coffin liners are impregnated with pleasant fragrances are inexpensive and easy to use and there is no need to use air fresheners and deodorising sprays. They are laid in the coffin with the deceased and they provide a pleasant and long lasting fragrance. The target price for these is just £0.50 each.

DRAW SHEETS - This product is used in operating theatres. Simply speaking it is a sheet of absorbant paper material on one side with a waterproof layer on the other. Upon arrival at the funeral home or mortuary the deceased is laid on the draw sheet and any fluid is absorbed into it and it does not pass through on the the table or tray. This makes cleaning easier and it is a hygienic and easy way of keeping the work area free of organic contamination. The draw sheet can be then disposed of in the infectious waste bin or bag. At only £0.50 each this is an economical and useful solution.

SILVERGUARD - This is a very clever product indeed. Silver ions kill bugs and we now have a way of incorporating them into a product that can be used to wash clothes. Essentially this product is used in the rinse cycle and it can be used in an ordinary domestic washing machine. When clothes and garments are washed in this product they remain anti-microbial between washes. Work clothes such as theatre scrubs and even every day clothing become bug-proof giving added protection from harmful pathogens. They even remain odour-proof for longer.
